August 2004 – I ran across Donna at Diver’s cove. She was laying out soaking up the late afternoon rays next to the lifeguard tower when she caught my eye. I sat down on the rocks and waited for an opportunity to approach. The phone rang on the tower and the lifeguard took off down the beach. I made my move not a moment too soon as the sun was going down and the shadows were growing long. As I was talking to her, a skeptical friend approached and I had to re-explain myself, but she agreed to the shots saying, “Sure, whatever tickles your fancy!”
